Real Estate Service Solutions Co. in Southfield recently announced Phillip Martin as CFO and Bob Hanrahan as COO. Martin and Hanrahan were hired to support the company’s recent growth and to implement the organization’s 10-year strategic plan. Both executives were recruited from firms in Chicago.
Martin served seven years as a senior vice president with Waterton, a vertically integrated multifamily investment manager with more than $5 billion of multifamily and senior living assets under management. While serving in this role, Martin was responsible for market and asset research and investment strategy, as well as overseeing and introducing the company’s senior living investment and operating platform called Pathway to Living. Martin is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and its research strategies committee, as well as a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Prior to joining RESSCO, Hanrahan served as COO for Redwood Capital Group. When he joined Redwood, it was a startup. He grew the company’s portfolio to more than 6,000 multifamily units in the Midwest and Eastern United States. During his tenure, he increased portfolio net operating income by 19 percent through operational improvements. Prior to Redwood Capital Group, Hanrahan was with American Realty Advisors as a senior vice president of asset management, where he oversaw a $1.2 billion portfolio of multifamily assets. His primary responsibilities were strategic planning, oversight of property operations, implementation of value-add strategies, team development, and the supervision and development of internal staff. Hanrahan graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a certified property manager and holds a managing brokers license in the state of Illinois.
