Matt Behnke, Daniel Clark
Rehmann, a certified public accountant (CPA), business consulting, and financial services firm, has added two new hires to its Ann Arbor office in the governmental and higher education sectors. Matt Behnke, a CPA and chartered global management accountant, will serve as an assurance senior manager, and Daniel Clark, CPA will serve as an assurance principal.
“We are thrilled to add Matt and Daniel to the assurance team,” says Mark Kettner, principal at Rehmann. “Their extensive experience in the public sector will add to our breadth of governmental and higher education expertise and provide new opportunities for our firm. Together, they will help expand our services to new and existing clients.”
Behnke previously served as CFO of Florida State University’s athletic department and will bring his expertise to existing and potential clients in the university athletic department field, offering tailored auditing assistance and strategic planning. He will also focus his practice on governmental and not-for-profit clients, providing financial statement audit, single audit, and outsourced CFO services.
Prior to joining Rehmann, Clark spent 12 years at an accounting firm. He developed extensive industry knowledge in the governmental and not-for-profit sector as a licensed CPA in both Michigan and Ohio. In his new role, Clark will lead annual audit and single audit engagements for governmental and not-for-profit clients throughout both states.
In their new positions, Behnke and Clark will help to expand Rehmann’s services in Michigan and across the U.S. Both are active members in the American Institute of CPAs, give frequent speeches addressing a variety of topics, and continue to expand their community involvement by offering continuing education opportunities to the local business community.
