Rehmann Names Five New Senior Managers

Rehmann, a CPA wealth management and corporate investigation firm with various locations throughout Michigan, has named five new senior managers to the firm. They are as follows:

Doug Barber, CFP, CLU, LUTCF is a financial advisor at Rehmann and has been practicing since 1992. He is based with the firm’s Ann Arbor and Jackson offices. He has extensive experience in all aspects of personal financial planning and concentrates on planning for medical and dental professionals, high net-worth individuals, and small-to mid-sized business owners.

Barber earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Tia Bonkowski, CPA is a senior manager with the ACT (Accounting, Consulting & Tax) department and has been in accounting for over 15 years. She is based at the firm’s Farmington Hills office. She works with closely-held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and high net-worth clients, providing accounting, consulting, and tax services. She is also skilled in handling multi-state taxation issues.

Bonkowski earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University and a master of science in accountancy from Walsh College. 

Amanda Nellis, CPA is a senior manager with the firm’s tax department and has been in public and private accounting for nine years. She is based at the firm’s Ann Arbor office. Her main area of experience is tax planning & compliance for high net-worth individuals and closely-held private companies. She provides tax services to many  private companies in various industries including manufacturing, rental real estate and investments.

Nellis earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.

David Robertson, CPA, CFE is a senior manager with the firm’s audit and assurance team and has been in public accounting for nine years. He is based at the firm’s Ann Arbor office. He focuses on attest work for a variety of companies in industries including manufacturing, technology and not-for-profit, as well as on employee benefit plans.

Robertson earned a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University.

David Swatosh, CPA, MST is a senior manager with the firm’s tax department and has been in public accounting for more than six years. He is based with the firm’s Troy office. He assists clients with energy tax credit and grant planning and consultation, R&D tax credit consultation, and the manufacturer’s deduction. Swatosh has experience in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, retail, health care, and professional services.

Swatosh earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Adrian College, a master’s degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University, and a master of science degree in taxation from Walsh College.
