REDICO Names New VP, Corporate Controller

REDICO, a national real estate development, investment, and property management company with offices in Southfield, has promoted William D. Gilbert to vice president and corporate controller.

Gilbert joined REDICO in 2000, most recently serving as director of accounting. Previously he spent 15 years as a partner with metro Detroit CPA firm, Gilbert & O’Connell PC.

In his new role, Gilbert will oversee the accounting and finance functions for the company’s national portfolio of mixed-use, office, retail and medical office properties, with a value in excess of $500 million. He is responsible for maintaining financial services  to property owners, partners, and key industry stakeholders; helping to position the company to sustain year-over-year growth. In addition, Gilbert has oversight of risk management services.

He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Accountant’s Guild, Detroit Treasury Management Association, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant, BOMA member and Chair of BOMA’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

Gilbert, of Beverly Hills, received a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
