Methodist Children’s Home Society in Redford has announced Carolyn Chin Watson as its new director of marketing.

Watson has a background in art direction, communication, and journalism. She was most recently creative director at Hour Detroit Magazine and served as art director at DBusiness Magazine, Detroit Home Magazine, and Metro Detroit Weddings, and news design director at The Detroit News.

“I joined the team at MCHS with the intention of creating a positive impact on the lives of the children and families it serves,” says Watson. “Over the past few weeks, I’ve come to realize that the positive impact is, in fact, a symbiotic one. The staff at MCHS truly thrives on working to give our children the best experience possible.”

Watson completed her bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carolyn to our team at MCHS,” says Kathryn Woodstock, chief development officer at Methodist Children’s Home Society. “She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a skill set that will help further our message and mission in our communities.”

Methodist Children’s Home Society is a nonprofit that offers foster-care and adoption placement, residential treatment, and transitional living programs for children who have survived child abuse and neglect.
