RE/MAX Names Top Real-Estate Professionals

DETROIT —  RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan recognized its top real-estate talent for the region at a recent awards ceremony at the Motor City Casino in Detroit. The event celebrated the accomplishments of RE/MAX’s highest performers as well as the comeback of southeast Michigan’s housing market. More than 350 of RE/MAX’s 700 real-estate professionals were recognized during the event.  Key awards and recipients include:

Howard McPherson Eagle Award went to Dave Tuscany and Dave Kwansy, brokers and owners of RE/MAX Suburban Inc. The Howard McPherson Eagle Award is the top honor for the region. It is named after company’s founder and CEO Howard McPherson, who stepped down in January 2012. The award recognizes the next generation of RE/MAX leaders. 

Tuscany and Kwansy were selected for the award by ranking  No. 1 for southeast Michigan as well as well as Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and southern Ohio. The team also received the Showcase Award (31 to 50 agents) for southeast Michigan. Showcase honorees are rated on broker participation, agent growth, average commissions, and agent productivity. Tuscany and Kwansy founded RE/MAX Suburban of Sterling Heights  in 1990.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals — Shining Star Award went to RE/MAX First of Clinton Township. The Shining Star is awarded to the RE/MAX office who makes the highest contributions to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the official charity of RE/MAX. More than $115 million has been raised since RE/MAX became a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 1992. Carol Vitale and Rob Shaffer, brokers and owners of RE/MAX First, also received the Showcase Award (11 to 30 agents) for their Shelby Township office.

The No. 1 Top Team award went to Lori Beatty and Marilyn Snyder, both of RE/MAX New Trend, with offices in Bloomfield Hills and Farmington Hills. The No. 1 Top Team is recognized achieving the highest combined sales throughout the region. Beatty and  Snyder placed first earning the highest commission for 2012. Beatty and Snyder have earned numerous awards during their career with RE/MAX. They also are ranked in the top 1 percent of Realtors nationwide.

The No. 1 Top Individual award went to Jeahad “Joe” Kadaf, broker and owner of RE/MAX Leading Edge, with offices in Dearborn Heights and Taylor. The award is given for achieving the highest sales throughout the region. Kadaf of RE/MAX Leading Edge placed first earning the top commission for the region for 2012. Kadaf brings more than 15 years of experience to his real-estate business.  He currently employs 35 sales professionals at his two offices. The Taylor office was recognized as a Showcase recipient (1 to 10 agents) during the ceremony.
