Rader, Fishman & Grauer Names New Associate

BLOOMFIELD HILLS -— Melissa Atherton has been named an associate at Rader, Fishman & Grauer PLLC, an intellectual property firm representing companies worldwide. Atherton’s practice will focus on domestic trademark prosecution, trademark enforcement and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceedings.

Prior to joining the firm, Atherton was an English language instructor for corporate executives in South Korea before completing internships at two Michigan law firms.

Atherton is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and, as a law school student at University of New Hampshire School of Law, participated in the prestigious Daniel Webster Scholars Honors Program, an alternative bar program where top students get rigorous training and evaluations by bar examiners, to meet bar requirements by the time they graduate. While in law school she was a member of the moot court team and was involved in various organizations including the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and the Public Interest Coalition.

Atherton holds a Juris Doctor from University of New Hampshire School of Law and a bachelor of arts in economics and English from University of Windsor.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Atherton now lives in Troy.
