DETROIT — The Quicken Loans Meridian Winter Blast returns to Campus Martius Park, starting Feb. 6.
The three day festival will once again feature its main attraction, a 30 feet high snow slide — courtesy of Meridian Health Plan.
“The Snow Slide has always been such a big part of Winter Blast and we’re pleased to be able to make the return of this family favorite a reality,” says Jon Cotton, president and COO of Meridian Health Plan.
The Meridian Winter Blast will also feature the Bedrock Zip Line, a 300 feet long ride in Downtown Detroit.
“The Bedrock Zip Line is an exciting new addition to the Winter Blast, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the city’s urban core each year,” says Bill Emerson, CEO of presenting sponsor Quicken Loans.
Other activities include marshmallow roasting, free ice skating, the Flagstar Bank Ice Garden, and Dog sledding exhibitions presented by U.S Park.
Food and drinks will be featured from local restaurants throughout the event including: The Whitney, Detroit Seafood Market, Golden Fleece, Andiamo’s and more.
