FERNDALE — Pulse220, a meetings, events, and marketing agency, has added Alana Canvasser to account executive, promoted Angela Halbeisen to vice president, and appointed Robyn Glasser to controller.
Canvasser, previously worked at pulse220 as a program manager in 2008. Most recently, she held various event and meeting planner positions at Ogilvy, IMG, and KPMG, where she served as senior associate and was responsible for internal meetings and events. In her new role, Canvasser will be charged with supporting various meetings, events, and live marketing activities. Canvasser, of West Bloomfield, earned a bachelor’s in sports management and communication from the University of Michigan, and has since become a Certified Meeting Planner.
In her new role, Halbeisen will service and maintain numerous client relationships. During her 12 years at pulse220, Halbeisen, of Bloomfield Hills, has filled several positions including most recently, account executive as well as account manager and senior program manager. As vice president, she will continue to manage a team of meeting and event planners and, as part of pulse220’s leadership team, she will be responsible for supporting the direction and strategy of the agency. Halbeisen earned a bachelor’s in communication arts and public relations from Michigan State University.
In her position as controller, Glasser will lead a wide-range of responsibilities, including the overall management of all accounting functions. This encompasses overseeing human resources, payroll and benefits for all pulse220 employees. She will also be tasked with recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and motivating accounting and administrative professionals, as well as managing financial statement generation. Glasser was previously the interim director of accounting at BullsEye Telecom, where she was responsible for general accounting and payroll commissions. Glasser, of Walled Lake, holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Michigan State University and is also a certified public accountant and a chartered global management accountant.
