Plante Moran Names 10 New Partners, Others to Staff

SOUTHFIELD — Plante Moran has elected 10 new partners and two entity members in southeast Michigan. 

They are:

Kellie Becker, CPA, is based in Macomb, and is a member of the firm’s International Tax Services Group. She focuses on international tax compliance structuring and global transaction planning for multinational corporations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology. 

Lisa Cantu, CPA, is based in Auburn Hills, and serves as tax leader for the firm’s real estate and construction practice. She works with commercial and residential real estate entities, developers, home builders and construction companies. Cantu holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Wayne State University.

Kellie Goines, CPA, is based in Detroit, and serves as leader of the office’s not-for-profit practice. She provides accounting, audit, tax and management consulting services to a variety of not-for-profit and religious organizations and also serves as a firmwide technical resource.  She holds a bachelor of business administration and a master’s degree in accounting, both from the University of Michigan. 

Pamela Hill, CPA, is based in Flint, where she serves on the governmental professional standards team as a technical resource, advising and auditing governmental entities. She also works with retail dealers and other service clients.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Wayne State University.

Dawn Jinsky, CPA, CFP, is based in Southfield, where she leads the firm’s estate and business transition practice.  She specializes in estate planning, wealth transfer and charitable planning, working extensively with family business owners on their transition plans.  Jinsky holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a master of business administration, both from Michigan State University.

Rachel Keller, CPA, is based in Southfield, where she is a member of the firm’s state and local tax team. Keller specializes in providing business and tax planning, consulting and compliance to middle-market businesses in the service industry. She holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Michigan and a master of science in accounting from University of Notre Dame.

Robert Kouza, CPA, is based in Ann Arbor, where he specializes in providing business and tax compliance, planning and consulting services to private equity-owned and closely held companies in the service industry. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Christa LaBrosse, CPA, is based in Detroit, and serves as a technical resource specialist for the firm’s service industry, working with clients in retail, high-tech, professional services and other service providers. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Wayne State University.

Ken Mason, CPC, is based in Southfield, where he has been elected an entity member with Plante Moran Cresa. He provides expertise in strategic planning, scheduling, logistics and management for large-scale programs in health care and corporate headquarters.  Mason is a Certified Professional Constructor from the American Institute of Constructors and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Ferris State University in Big Rapids.

Michele McHale, CPA, is based in Southfield, where she provides financial due diligence for a variety of business entities related to mergers, acquisitions and other transactions. She has a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Western Michigan University.

Mike Merkel, CPA, is based in Southfield, and serves as the southeast Michigan leader of the firm’s state and local tax practice. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in taxation from Walsh College. 

Benjamin Smith is based in Southfield, where he has been elected an entity member with Plante Moran Cresa.  He provides real estate investment advisory services to family offices, private capital companies and institutional investors.  Smith holds a bachelor of arts with honors and a master’s degree in urban planning, both from the University of Michigan.
