SOUTHFIELD — Plante Moran, a public accounting and business advisory firms, has named Tom Kurimura to the firm as a partner in its Japanese business services practice.
Kurimura, of West Bloomfield, specializes in providing audit and business consulting services to Japanese companies in a variety of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, consumer and industrial electronics, and trading. Previously, Kurimura, a CPA, served as a partner in charge of the Midwest area at Hotta Liesenberg Saito LLP, assisting Japanese clients in the manufacturing industry with audit and consulting services related to internal controls, performance improvement, and financial analysis to aid management with critical decisions.
Kurimura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a Master of Arts in international economics and finance from Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is fluent in Japanese.
