TROY, Mich. Sept. 20, 2010 – Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit (MSED) is accepting nominations of talented sales and marketing professionals in southeastern Michigan for the organization’s Platinum Awards.

Two Platinum Award winners will be honored at MSED’s November Dinner. One Michigan-based individual and one team will be recognized for their excellence in sales and marketing during 2009 and the first six months of 2010. MSED membership is not required.

Nominations for the awards can be submitted online through the MSED website at www.msedetroit.org. Nominations must be received by October 20.

According to Dave Harries, chairman for the 2010 MSED Platinum Awards and president, Spartan Marketing Services, the Platinum Awards celebrate the area’s marketing and sales professionals with recognition and publicity from their peers in the industry.

“In these very challenging economic times, this is a platinum opportunity for individuals and teams from Southeast Michigan-based businesses to showcase how their sales and/or marketing initiatives made a meaningful difference to their companies’ bottom line,” Harries said.

Nominees will be evaluated by MSED judges based on their achievements in increasing or maintaining sales, using creative problem solving methods, reaching or exceeding company goals, impacting a business or industry and involvement in community activities (individual award only) between Jan. 2009 and July 1, 2010.

A group of finalists will be selected from the nominees and interviewed by the MSED nominating committee. All finalists will be announced in early November with the winning individual and team being identified at MSED’s November dinner meeting.
