MILFORD — MIPRO, a consultancy specializing in implementations, upgrades and optimizations of Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications, announced that Gloria Smith, senior principal consultant with the organization, has been named by the Oracle HCM Users Group as the Payroll Special Interest Group Leader.
In this volunteer position, Smith will be responsible for helping to increase membership in the Payroll SIG, bring increasing value to the individual members, and provide a vehicle to and from Oracle Corporation. Some of her other duties include assisting in the development of the quarterly newsletter content to highlight SIG events/accomplishments and keep members informed, welcoming new members and developing ideas to increase and maintain membership, and facilitating educational opportunities for SIG members through educational webinars and monthly/quarterly meetings. Smith will also be responsible for assisting in the planning and success of the OHUG Annual Conference.

Smith will immediately hit the ground running by lending support in the preparation for the annual OHUG Global Conference 2013, to be held June 10-14 in Dallas. This conference brings together more than 1,800 OHUG members for a week-long networking and learning opportunity for anyone working with Oracle PeopleSoft, Fusion HCM and Taleo products. Smith will lead her first SIG meeting at the conference.
