OpTech, a Troy-based IT, engineering, and health care workforce services firm, has extended its contract to provide various support services to the U.S. Navy for the next four years using its electronic support service acquiring platform.

“We look forward to providing the Navy with innovative technical solutions, and support in the areas of systems and software engineering,”  says Scott Goodwin, senior vice president of government services at OpTech.

The Navy’s platform for acquiring support services in nearly 25 different functional areas, such as engineering, information technology, and program management, was established to provide the Navy with better and faster professional support services while meeting its strategic sourcing wedge, which states 50 percent of all support services must be procured using performance based contracting.
