The M&A Advisor has recognized the bankruptcy reorganization and turnaround expertise of O’Keefe and Associates with multiple finalist honors in three separate categories of The M&A Advisor’s 4th Annual Turnaround Awards. This national recognition stems from the firm’s successful reorganization and sale of the iconic Double JJ Resort, home of the Rothbury Music Festival.

The M&A Advisor named O’Keefe and Associates a finalist for the following awards:

  • Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (below $100 mm)
  • Turnaround Community Impact Award
  • Real Estate Sector Deal of the Year

O’Keefe and Associates will compete against other high profile reorganizations including the acquisition of Sun-Times Media Group, the Chapter 11 Reorganization of Fleet Imports and the Chapter 11 Reorganization of Tropicana, among others. Notable finalists in various other categories include the Chapter 11 Reorganization of Bally Total Fitness, Sale of Chrysler LLC to Fiat-led “New Chrysler” (Chrysler Group LLC) and the Chapter 11 Restructuring of General Motors.

An independent body of experts, who represent a cross-section of the turnaround industry, will judge the finalists’ deals and determine the ultimate recipients of the awards. Winners will be announced at The M&A Advisor’s 4th Annual Distressed Conference and Turnaround Awards Gala, March 21-22 in Palm Beach, Fla.

“To me, bankruptcy represents a failed negotiation,” said Managing Member Patrick O’Keefe. “Double JJ is an example of the success that distressed businesses can achieve with the right team leading the reorganization effort. We’re proud to be acknowledged among the best M&A firms in the country.”
