O'Keefe & Associates Open in Atlanta, Adds 3 Directors

ATLANTA — Transactional financial consulting and strategic advisory firm O’Keefe & Associates announced the opening of an Atlanta office to support the southern region.

O’Keefe recently hired three new directors to service new markets. Mike Carpenter, managing director in Atlanta, has significant experience in business, finance, IT enabled transformation, and performance improvement. Mr. Carpenter has advised start-ups and early stage organizations on business strategy, operating model, financing and capital structure. Prior to joining O’Keefe, he was a consulting partner at KPMG, serving in varied roles, including regional managing partner, national and regional services leader, and service delivery partner.

Linda McConkey, director in Atlanta, specializes in strategic advisory services across a broad range of business issues. Ms. McConkey partners with client company executives, managers and front line staff to accomplish strategic business objectives. While a specialist in complex program and project management, her multi-industry, multi-disciplined consulting expertise includes IT implementations, assessment and due diligence, strategic business process improvement, optimization, people and change management, enterprise risk management and corporate governance (including SOX Compliance), and process and controls improvement. Prior to joining O’Keefe & Associates, Ms. McConkey served as a Consulting Partner with Tatum LLC, and was also a Partner in the Business Performance Advisory Services Practice at KPMG.

Alex Popovich, director in all regions, has covered such industries as telecommunications, gaming, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, computers & software, and utilities. Some of the transactions in which he has been involved include: Commercial Alloys, MetalWorks, Plymouth Rubber, AMERCO, Spiegel, Fleming Companies, America West, Circle K, Level 3 Communications, Computer Associates, Advanced Micro Devices, CalEnergy, Nevada Power, Station Casinos, Santa Fe Hotels, The Stratosphere, Pacific Aerospace and Teva Pharmaceuticals. Formerly, Mr. Popovich was with a middle market turnaround consulting firm and also held positions with Versa Capital Management, a leadingsource of capital for distressed and complex special situations, Keen Consultants, US Trust Company of New York and IBJ Whitehall Bank & Trust Company.
