Oakland Community College has named Timothy L. Taylor as the new Auburn Hills Campus president.
He was previously president of Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Ill.
Taylor earned a Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, a master’s in vocational education and bachelor’s in electronics management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and has two associate degrees from Danville Area Community College in Danville, Ill.
Previously, he was dean of business and technology programs at Richland Community College in Decatur, Ill., and associate dean of industrial occupations, agriculture and apprenticeship at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville/Beloit, Wis.
At Frontier, he helped in developing degree programs in construction technology, fire science, health informatics, information systems support technician and paramedicine. Taylor served on the district’s higher learning commission and led Frontier’s college-wide restructuring process.
