Jasen Witt has been appointed as Oakland Community College’s associate vice chancellor of human resources.
In this role, Witt will provide major support to the oversight of all of the college’s human resource functions, including negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, hiring processes, and salary and benefit administration.
Witt, from Lake Orion, has nearly 15 years of experience as an attorney in labor and employment law and human resources administration in public schools. He was assistant superintendent of human resources for the Troy School District. Previously, he was director of personnel and employee services for Allen Park Public Schools, and began his career as an associate attorney with the law firm of Collins & Blaha in Farmington Hills.
Witt is a board member of the Michigan Negotiator’s Association and a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Association of School Personnel Administrators, the Oakland County Association of School Personnel Administrators Association, and the Metro Bureau Council of Chief Negotiators.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and his a juris doctorate from Wayne State University.
