DETROIT — Oakwood Health Care Foundation is hosting it’s annual Wine for the Spirits event to raise $425,000 with the proceeds benefiting diabetic and pre-diabetic patients. The Bordeaux Benefactor’s reception will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at MGM Grand Detroit.
The Wine for the Spirits event will have more than 80 unique wines to sample from around the world. There will be wine demonstrations, silent auction, raffles and a special “Fine Wine Tasting Room” — where for a small fee, enables guests to sample exclusive wines donated from personal cellars. The pre-event Bordeaux Benefactor Reception is exclusive to Classic, Corporate, Title, Presenting, Champagne Toast, Fine Wine Tasting Room, Cabernet and Chardonnay Sponsors, and provides special amenities along with a meet-and-greet of the Oakwood Executive Leadership Team. The funds will help patients with screenings, education, and support programs — a portion of the proceeds will benefit an endowment to provide Helping Hands care for patients and their families.
