Oakland Chamber Network 2015 Appoints Executive Board

AUBURN HILLS — The Oakland Chamber Network has announced its 2015 leadership team, with Auburn Hills Chamber Executive Director Denise Asker serving as president for a one-year term. 

Comprised of executive directors from five area chambers, the team includes Marie Hauswirth, executive director of Waterford; Ara Topouzian, vice president/CEO of Troy; Tanya Markos-Vanno, executive director of Southfield area; and Keri Valmassei, executive director of Madison Heights/Hazel Park.

The board will guide the direction and activities of Oakland Chamber Network, an organization established over 30 years ago and comprised of 28 Chambers of Commerce, representing over 20,000 businesses in Oakland County.

Asker has led the Auburn Hills Chamber since 2010, winning the Michigan Outstanding Chamber of Commerce designation in 2014 for the organization. She has experience providing strategic leadership to organizations in the areas of business development, public relations, marketing and operations. Asker holds a master’s in management from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State University.
