Forgotten Harvest, a nonprofit food rescue organization based in Oak Park, announced Angella Durkin has joined the organization as CFO.

She joins Forgotten Harvest with a unique mix of corporate and nonprofit finance leadership experience. She most recently served as the COO at NextEnergy, a Detroit-based nonprofit, and prior to that was the manager of Global Liquidity, and Americas treasurer at Delphi.

“Angella’s wealth of experience in finance and passion for our mission makes her an ideal candidate for this position,” says Kirk Mayes, CEO of Forgotten Harvest. “We’re impressed with her desire to make a contribution to the community in both her personal and professional life and look forward to having her as a part of the Forgotten Harvest team.”

She also serves on the board of People for Palmer Park in Detroit. As the Forgotten Harvest team moves into their new building in Oak Park, she will play an integral role in helping the organization deliver on its strategic focus to provide the right food, at the right place, in the right quantity, and at the right time.

Durkin has a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
