TROY — North American Bancard, provider of the payment solution PayAnywhere, Monday announced the addition of Tracy Metzger to its leadership team to fill the newly created position of chief information officer.

The common theme in Tracy’s 20 years of executive experience is the shared accomplishments of increasing sales, decreasing costs, and growing margins. A veteran of payments and point of sale industries, Tracy’s executive experiences feature roles as CIO, CTO, and president.

Tracy comes to NAB from TGate Payments, a cloud computing payment processing Platform as a Service company, where for two years he served as president and chief technology officer. Prior to that, Tracy served eight years as president and CTO at payment processing and technology company Abanco International. Before Abanco, Tracy was CIO at Gate Gourmet, the second largest global airline catering company.

Tracy is a recognized expert on payment trends. He has been a featured speaker at industry conferences and his commentary has been sought by numerous publications including Business Solutions Magazine, Transaction World Magazine, and USA TODAY.
