Giles Shrimpton has been name CEO of Birmingham-based NNG LLC, a supplier of automotive navigation software, content, and services.
Shrimpton will oversee development and expansion of the company as it goes through a period of growth. He began his career as a software engineer and has held senior positions at Philips, Siemens, Valeo, TomTom, and Mirror Controls.
He is a former executive board member and managing director automotive for TomTom where he created a fully automotive compliant organization and drove the volume introduction of connected navigation and services. He gained his international experience while working for major automotive suppliers based in the U.K., U.S., France, Netherlands, and China.
Shrimpton earned his degree in computer systems analysis at Bristol Polytechnic in the United Kingdom and his MBA in management at Henley Management College in the U.K..
