Baker Tilly announced that Laurie Horvath has been promoted to partner from director in our Southfield, Mich. office. Horvath has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, including 12 years with a Big Four firm with five in a National Office role.
As Baker Tilly’s not-for-profit practice leader, she specializes in providing auditing and accounting services to not-for-profit clients, including financial statement and compliance auditing for OMB Circular A-133. She provides audit services for not-for-profit entities including foundations, human service agencies, and several large multi-entity engagements.
Horvath is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s not-for-profit expert panel and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountant’s not-for-profit task force. She sits on various boards and is active in organizations such as Lighthouse of Oakland County (Board Member), St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital Foundation (Treasurer), and the Detroit Athletic Club (Membership Committee). Horvath earned a Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
