SOUTHFIELD — Laurie Horvath has been promoted from director to partner of Baker Tilly in our Southfield office. Horvath has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, including 12 years with a Big Four firm with five in a national office role.
As Baker Tilly’s not-for-profit practice leader, she specializes in providing auditing and accounting services to not-for-profit clients, including financial statement and compliance auditing for OMB Circular A-133. She provides audit services for not-for-profit entities including foundations, human service agencies, and several large multi-entity engagements.
Horvath is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s not-for-profit expert panel and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountant’s not-for-profit task force. She sits on various boards and is active in organizations such as a Lighthouse of Oakland County board member, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital Foundation treasurer, and Detroit Athletic Club membership committee. Horvath earned a master’s of business administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor of arts from The University of Michigan.
