DETROIT — New Detroit will host the forum, “The Facts about the Common Core Standards,” to provide clear understanding of the Common Core State Standards, at the Michigan State University Detroit Center at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Panelists will also be discussing the issues of funding the implementation of standards, creating benchmarks for students, where it rests with the Michigan Legislature, and how it will impact students, parents, teachers and schools in Michigan.
