DETROIT — Labor and employment attorney Patricia Nemeth, who founded the law offices of Patricia Nemeth in 1992 and then changed the firm name to Nemeth Burwell in 1998 when Linda G. Burwell, who joined Nemeth full time in 1996, was made partner, announced Burwell is resigning from the firm to pursue other interests.

Detroit-based Nemeth Burwell specializes in employment litigation, traditional labor law and management consultation for private and public sector employers. With 30 staff members, including 13 attorneys, the firm continues as the largest woman-owned law firm in Michigan to exclusively represent management in the prevention, resolution and litigation of labor and employment disputes.

Burwell will be transitioning out of the firm over the next few months. A firm name change will be announced later this year.
