DETROIT—The National Association for Women Business Owners — Greater Detroit Chapter today named Tanya R. Allen as its new president. Allen is the founder and CEO of ForeverFresh, a Detroit-based disposable undergarments company.

“Women business owners need access to capital, more business opportunities, and favorable public policies to assist in these efforts” says Allen. “I understand first-hand the issues women in business face and what solutions are needed to ensure their success. NAWBO has had a great impact on me as a business owner and I want to use this platform to further impact the lives of other women.”

Allen will use her expertise to connect members to opportunities that will strengthen and grow their businesses and increase NAWBO GDC membership. She also intends to inform and engage members on national issues that relate to the viability of women in business.
