DETROIT – The Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit will once again offer a variety of top-notch amenities designed to enhance the festival experience even more for the thousands expected to descend upon Hart Plaza this weekend, including some tantalizing new food and beverage options.

Paxahau, producers of the festival, have again partnered up with several of the leading innovators in the hardware and software production and performance realm of electronic dance music. Sennheiser, renowned German manufacturer of industry-leading DJ and consumer headphones, will also be showcasing their latest designs in the 2,500 square foot Technology Area, located near Movement’s Underground Stage. The area will be open each day of the festival and is free to all festival attendees. Several Technology Area partners are also making generous donations of gear and expert instruction to help support the Music Technology program at Youthville Detroit.

For the first time, several crowd-pleasing food trucks will be onsite at the festival to serve up a host of food options to fans. New additions include El Guapo mexican food, Tuk Tuk southeastern asian food, Mac Shack mac n’ cheese, and GrindHouse Hungarian fried pizzas and sausages. The food trucks will join other long-time festival favorites, like internationally acclaimed Slow’s-to-Go.

The Movement Biergarten area, located along the Detroit Riverfront, adjacent to the Beatport Stage will serve up a wide selection of quality local, regional, national and international beers. The Biegarten area is a great place for attendees to hang out in-between performances and enjoy some brews. All bar locations will now be accepting cash and credit card payments.

Movement fans can learn more about these amenities and more by downloading the free Movement 2014 smartphone app on iTunes. The innovative app allows fans to customize their own schedule, capture the moment with the postcard feature, share their meet-up spot with friends with the “Friend Finder” option and explore all of the expansive official afterparty options.
