Mount Clemens commercial real estate brokerage Anton, Sowerby & Associates has named Susan Blanchard as the company’s new president and Garth Frounfelker as the executive vice president and director of operations.
The change took place in late 2024 as the company’s long-time president, Joe Sowerby, stepped down as president.
Blanchard started her second act commercial real estate career with Anton, Sowerby & Associates in 2012 after a long career in the local, commercial banking industry. She serves on the board of directors for Turning Pointe and Clinton Valley Kiwanis and is very active in her church.

“We take pride in our solid foundation that was built on integrity, trust, knowledge and great people. As we move the company forward, we look forward to incorporating the latest technology and tools to offer the best possible experience for our clients,” says Blanchard.
Frounfelker came to Anton, Sowery & Associates in 2007, after more than 10 years in retail sales and management. Prior to taking on this new role, he was executive assistant to Sowerby, managing the office as well as a portfolio of commercial properties and provided the necessary support to the agents to ensure all transactions made it to closing smoothly.
“We are really excited to expand our client experience by connecting their needs, using relevant and available technology, to the commercial real estate market,” says Frounfelker. “Rest assured, our goal is to maintain the company culture of long-term client relationships that Anton, Sowerby & Associates was built on.”
