DETROIT — Randy Janowicz recently joined MotorCity Casino Hotel as director of retail overseeing all retail operations.
In his new role, Janowicz will be responsible for inventory and merchandising for all retail products.
Prior to joining MotorCity Casino Hotel, Janowicz held district and regional responsibilities with clothing and accessories retailer, American Eagle. He was integral in growing the organization from a couple of local stores to a publicly traded household name and later led the highly successful launch of American Eagle Canada as the senior director of stores. He also served as VP for North American Operations for Northern Reflections and the April Cornell/La Cache organizations. Prior to forming his own retail consultancy, Acorn Consulting International, he served as the director of stores and operations for the specialty divisions of the former Hudson’s Bay Co. in Toronto.
Janowicz is a Detroit native and earned an associate’s degree from Macomb Community College before receiving the Jesuit’s Founders scholarship to attend University of Detroit Mercy.
