DETROIT — MotorCity Casino Hotel has promoted Scott Stromer to the position of executive chef.
Prior to joining MotorCity Casino Hotel, Stromer served as executive director of Culinary Operations at Sullivan University in Louisville, Ky. where he oversaw nine companies, four restaurants, and two catering divisions. He also served as the executive director of Culinary Operations at Michigan State University in East Lansing managing $10 million in food operations, catering and dining.
Before entering the education sector, Stromer owned Culinary Restaurant Group. He also served as the vice president and corporate executive chef for Restaura, Inc./Dial Corp. in Phoenix, Ariz. managing food services for 267 restaurants, three cruises, five resorts, and two professional sports arenas.
Stromer is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
