MotorCities National Heritage Area Partnership Elects New Officers

DETROIT — The MotorCities National Heritage Area Partnership, an affiliate of the National Park Service located throughout 16 counties in Michigan, have named its new board members and officers.

“MotorCities is a great organization dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and promoting our automotive and labor heritage,” said Bob Kreipke, newly elected chairman of the board of directors and corporate historian and creative manager for Ford Motor Co.

Other officers include Michael O’Callaghan, vice chair and executive vice president of the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau; Michael O. Smith, treasurer and archivist for the Bentley Historical Library, University of Michigan; and Nancy Thompson, treasurer, Oakland County Economic Development and Community Affairs.
