Mopec Names New CEO

Jay R. Troger has been named CEO of Mopec, an Oak Park-based pathology and mortuary equipment manufacturer. In his new role, Troger will be responsible for general management, expanding the company’s products, building market shares, and strategic plans.

Troger, with more than 20 years of leadership experience, previously served as CEO of Nextronex, Inc., in Toledo, Ohio, a manufacturer of utility scale solar inverters. Troger also worked as president and CEO of Hackney & Sons, Inc., a company that specializes in designing and building route delivery vehicles; president of US Flow Corporation in Grand Rapids, a distributor of pipes, valves and fittings; president of Falcon Waterfree Technologies in Wayland, a company focused on creating waterless urinal system; COO of Greenwood Fuel in Green Bay, Wisc., a company focused on modern solar photovoltaic and energy storage solutions; CEO and president of EnerTech Environmental, Inc., a producer of renewable fuels from non-recyclable industrial waste and biosolids; and partner of Bain & Company, a Boston-based strategic consulting firm.

​Troger, of Oak Park, received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College in Cambridge, Mass., and a juris doctor from Boston University School of Law in Boston, Mass.
