Mon Jin Lau in Troy to help the efforts in Japan with a Relief event on April 6th, 2011

March 29, 2011, Troy, MI – On Friday, March 11th 2011, a massive earthquake hit the country of Japan triggering a tsunami that caused unbelievable damage to the country.  With over 28,000 people feared to be dead or missing, and a nuclear plant leaking radioactive water, Japan tries to recuperate from this horrendous disaster.

On Wednesday, April 6th 2011, Mon Jin Lau Restaurant in Troy, MI will try and help Japan with their Shanghai Wednesdays “Relief” Event.  A minimum $5 donation for women and $10 donation for men will be mandatory at the door, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Red Cross to help Japan’s relief efforts.  In addition, Koji Watanabe will provide a special Sushi Roll called the “Tsunami” Roll.  100% of the sale of this roll will also go directly to the Red Cross.

Dinner reservations for this event can be made as early as 4PM and will go throughout the night with Mon Jin Lau’s Sushi Bar closing at 11:30PM and the kitchen closing at Midnight.  DJ’s Tom T, Matt Aubrey, and Tone will be spinning starting at 9:30PM.

Besides the Tsunami Roll, Mon Jin Lau will offer $4 Sake Bombs, $5 Asahi and Sapporo Beers.
