The MIU Men’s Health Foundation in Rochester Hills announced the hiring of Andrea L. Hamilton as its new executive director.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is dedicated to men’s health advocacy and the awareness, education, research, and treatment of prostate cancer and men’s health related issues. It was founded by the Michigan Institute of Urology, the largest multi-subspecialty urology practice in Michigan.

In this new role, Hamilton will be responsible for expanding the nonprofit organization’s presence within the metro Detroit community, including through partnerships with health care organizations, sponsorship opportunities, and grant development to grow funding for the foundation’s mission.

She will also be responsible for overseeing the organization’s signature events — which include the annual Men’s Health Event, Run for the Ribbon, Blue Monday, and Cogs & Kegs — and developing new outreach strategies to engage other populations within the men’s health community.

Before joining the MIU Men’s Health Foundation, Hamilton spent nearly a decade with Rocket Mortgage, most recently serving as divisional vice president. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Adrian College.
