ORION TOWNSHIP — Powers Distributing wants you to have a great American summer and enjoy a great American beer — Miller Lite. But wait, there’s more. Powers Distributing is going to giveaway prizes just for enjoying a Miller Lite beer right here in metro Detroit.
What’s the catch? Just join Powers Distributing online for a social media-based photo contest set to begin Aug. 5 and end Labor Day, Sept. 2.
Powers Distributing is asking participants to share their Great American Summer by tweeting photos featuring quintessential summer destinations around Detroit and their favorite summer beverage, Miller Lite, with @PowersDist on Twitter or Instagram and adding the official contest hashtag, #MillerTimeintheD.
“Metro Detroiters enjoy every moment of summer in Michigan,” Gary Thompson said, chief operating officer of Powers Distributing. “Miller Lite is a great session beer to enjoy during the summer at the beach, on a boat, at a barbecue, at a sporting event or concert; and it offers gold medal beer taste without high alcohol or high calories and carbs. We want to see Detroiters having fun and enjoying Miller Lite this summer by submitting their photos for great prizes you won’t find anywhere else.”
The #MillerTimeintheD contest will span four weeks; and each week the best photo will be chosen and announced online. Look for winners on the following dates: Aug. 12, 19, 26 and Sept. 3.
Prizes include Miller Lite swag, Miller Lite NASCAR Driver Brad Keselowski autographed t-shirts, tickets to experience a baseball game in downtown Detroit and more.
Only Michigan residents, 21 and over, are eligible to participate and win. A valid email address is required to enter so that Powers Distributing can notify winners.
