Mike Scimeca to Lead Operations and Systems Engineering at Dearborn’s Ghafari

Dearborn-based engineering, architecture, and consulting firm Ghafari Associates announced that Mike Scimeca has rejoined the firm as an executive vice president heading its operations and systems engineering team.

In his new role, Scimeca will focus on team development as well as provide principal oversight on projects and manage client relationships and new pursuits.

Throughout his more than four-decade career, Scimeca has established himself as a prominent thought leader in process engineering, dedicated to streamlining operations, coordinating system design capabilities, and utilizing a lean approach for continuous improvement.

His in-depth industry knowledge of the manufacturing sector and project management experience position him to expand and solidify Ghafari’s world-class expertise that brings people, technology, and process solutions to various industries around the globe.

Among his accomplishments, Scimeca was instrumental in building Ghafari’s Operations and Systems Engineering team when it was first established in 2001, and has directed projects in several countries including Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, and India.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Scimeca held the position of executive vice president at Miller Industries in Fenton, as well as CTO at EagleRail Container Logistics, where he will continue to lend his technical expertise as a member of the board of directors.
