Michigan Works! Training Funds available to the public

2186

Funding is currently available for individuals in need of training to gain employment and increase current job skills through the State Energy Sector Partnership (SESP) Training Grant in Advanced Energy Storage.

Macomb Community College’s two-course certificate program is ideal for technicians or experienced professionals looking to upgrade their skills. It requires at least some college or vocational training, strong math skills and preferably some work experience in a related field. Unemployed adults and/or dislocated workers who have been terminated or laid off from their jobs may qualify for this and other education/training leading to employment in demand industries or emerging occupations. Visit a Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! Service Center for determination of training eligibility.

Michigan Works! also offers other free re-employment activities for job seekers such as resumè preparation, interviewing skills, and job search techniques.
