Dr. Crystal Holmes has been named president of the Lansing-based Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. Additionally, four new board members were also added.
In her role, Holmes will guide the association’s management group, Kindsvatter, Dalling & Associates, and take the lead in pursing on-going educational programs for members, fostering partnerships with other health care organizations in the state, working to ensure members’ legislative interests are represented, and seek opportunities that will improve the practice of podiatry for members as well as the community. Holmes will serve as president through January 2018.
Holmes is a clinical assistant professor and podiatry program director at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She also chairs the Health Care Disparities subcommittee for the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Holmes, of Canton, received her doctor of podiatric medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Holmes is joined by four additional members of the 2016 executive board. They are: Dr. Joyce Patouhas of Troy; Dr. Ahmed Farah, of Canton; Dr. Bruce Jacob, of West Bloomfield; and Dr. Ali Safiedine, of Franklin Village.
