Michigan International Speedway Launches New Vision

DETROIT — With the Pure Michigan 400 approaching on August 18, NASCAR and the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn are spreading the news about the new direction of racing and the fan experience. Roger Curtis, president of MIS, and Steve Phelps, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of NASCAR, spoke at the Detroit Athletic Club on July 18 to discuss issues including improvements to the raceway, the new generation of fans, racing going green, and the economic impact of racing in Michigan.
