Lansing – Michigan based Hispanic business organizations representing businesses and professionals across Michigan have formed the Michigan Hispanic Alliance, a collaborative partnership focused on joining up Hispanic business groups across Michigan.

The major Alliance partners include the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Great Lakes Bay Region Hispanic Business Association, Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Lansing Area Hispanic Business Association.

Alliance partners believe today’s economic environment requires all businesses to step up and play their part in creating jobs and supporting growth initiatives to strengthen Michigan’s economy. Alliance partners strongly feel there is a clear need for business groups to create collaborative business and government partnerships to grow Michigan’s economic base.

The Michigan Hispanic Alliance will address business issues concerning taxation, regulatory environment, and economic development that impact not only Hispanic businesses but all Michigan businesses. In addition, Alliance partners will seek to build stronger relationships and synergies between their respective memberships.

“The Michigan Hispanic Alliance is a great opportunity for Hispanic leaders from around the state to collaborate on common issues and to identify solutions that will promote economic growth and job creation.”, said Jim Jaime, Executive board member of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Hispanic Business Association.

With nearly 11,000 Hispanic-owned businesses in Michigan, the Michigan Hispanic Alliance understands the need to partner and advocate on public policy issues that positively impact Michigan’s business environment and Michigan’s Hispanic business community. It is the Michigan Hispanic Alliance’s hope that as alliance partners reach out to other Michigan based business organizations to build sustainable collaborative opportunities, we can also begin to formulate a successful model that can be a focal to other Hispanic business communities across the Midwest.
