Michigan Film Incentives — Michael Manasseri

Acclaimed actor and film producer Michael Manasseri, who appeared on Broadway in the revival of Oliver, starred alongside Yul Brynner in the U.S. tour of The King and I, and is currently moving his Big Screen Entertainment Group to metro Detroit, addresses Michigan’s film incentives and the possible reduction of those tax credits by the state Legislature. Manasseri argues that diluting the incentives after just 18 months of noted success would send the wrong message to investors and producers, some of whom are holding off on investing millions of dollars in the state until the political debate is resolved.
