LANSING — The Michigan Certified Development Corp. has named veteran Michigan businessman/banker Michael H. Chatas as president. Chatas comes to the position from his post as president of United Structured Finance Co. in Ann Arbor.

In making the announcement, MCDC search committee member and Board Vice Chair Greg Nicholas cited Chatas’ 20-plus years experience in business development and Small Business Administration lending. “We are excited to gain a leader of Michael’s caliber and experience,” Nicholas said. “We believe he can take the MCDC to even higher levels as the leading provider of SBA 504 financing in the state of Michigan.”

Nicholas also announced the appointment of Anthony A.
