Michele Reid Named COO of CNS Healthcare

Dr. Michele Reid was named vice president and COO for CNS Healthcare in Novi. She formerly served as the chief medical officer for the organization, which is a nonprofit certified community behavioral health operation with eight clinics and two clubhouses in southeast Michigan.

Dr. Michele Reid was named vice president and COO for CNS Healthcare in Novi. She formerly served as the chief medical officer for the organization, which is a nonprofit certified community behavioral health operation with eight clinics and two clubhouses in southeast Michigan.

CNS employs approximately 400 employees, paraprofessionals, and support staff, delivering services to more than 7,000 people annually.

The group’s mission is to provide essential services and support to those affected by mental illness, substance use, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and emotional disorders. CNS works to advance integrated mental and physical healthcare and eliminating stigma through advocacy, education, and community outreach.

CNS provides comprehensive integrated health services in partnership with several community organizations, and uses a patient-centered approach to identify, support, and promote the overall health of children, adolescents, and adults.

In addition to her duties at CNS, Reid is also a clinical assistant professor, Wayne State University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. She also is chairperson of the American College of Psychiatrists (APA) where she served as a member of the group’s Presidential Task Force on Structural Racism Throughout Psychiatry. She also served at the area IV representative to the American Psychiatric Association Assembly for the Michigan Psychiatric Association.
