Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate company in Southfield, promoted Michael Kalil to chief revenue officer in addition to his current position as chief operating officer.
“In Michael’s more than 30 years of service to Farbman Group, he has developed into a leader who is truly respected and admired in the commercial real estate industry,” says Andy Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group. “Michael has the unique ability to wear many hats to drive business development for the company. He is a natural fit for the chief revenue officer role as we leverage his talents to expand the company’s commercial real estate services across the Midwest.”
As chief revenue officer at Farbman Group, Kalil will focus on driving business development for the firm’s receivership and distressed asset repositioning services, as well as brokerage, construction management opportunities coming from third party investors, and much more.
“I’m honored to be entrusted to uphold the level of service, attention to detail, and customer service that Farbman Group is known for throughout the Midwest,” says Kalil. “Leveraging our full-service platform consisting of construction, property management, brokerage and development at a time when receiverships and distressed assets are rising across the Midwest, I feel I can make a significant impact in assisting lenders, owners, and all of our clients in my new role as Chief Revenue Officer.”
Kalil has decades of experience as a court-appointed receiver and has served as an asset manager of distressed assets for regional banks, life insurance companies, and special servicers across the country. He also has expertise in receivership, asset management, brokerage, property management, development, and client and tenant relations.
Kalil is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute, the Building Owner’s and Manager’s Association, and an inductee in Midwest Real Estate News’ Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.
