
The Michigan State Medical Society in East Lansing has named Dr. Mohammed A. Arsiwala as the president. Arsiwala, who was trained at the Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University in Detroit, was inaugurated as president during the annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates on May 4-5.
He is the president and founder of Michigan Urgent Care Center and Occupational Health Centers, which provide urgent care and occupational health services in 10 locations throughout southeast Michigan. He is also a staff physician at Beaumont, St. Joseph Mercy, Detroit Medical Center, and other area hospitals.
Arsiwala is active in the Detroit area and internationally, volunteering as a physician in Afghanistan, Africa, and India through his private HELP Foundation.
The Michigan State Medical Society is a professional association of more than 15,000 Michigan physicians. Its mission is to promote a health care environment which supports physicians in caring for and enhancing the health of Michigan citizens through science, quality, and ethics in the practice of medicine.
