Ferndale, Mich., February 4, 2009 – Following a year of continued growth, Mackevision, a premier 3D visualization company, recently relocated its North American office to Ferndale, Mich.
The move to Ferndale follows a successful year for Mackevision, including growth, new business development and award-winning work. The relocation brings Mackevision closer to clients and positions them in a growing creative community.
Mackevision’s growth in 2008 can be attributed to the company’s expertise creating high-quality, computer-generated images that are indiscernible from still photography for all media including web, film and print. Mackevision is an innovator in the areas of data creation, video and film project development.
Last year, the company received the prestigious Intermedia-Globe Grand Award at the 2008 U.S. International Film and Video Festival, and the Gold Camera Award at the U.S. International Film and Video Festival, each presented for the company’s Dodge Journey product advertisement. Mackevision was also awarded The Golden Pyramid by the Integrated TV and Video Association (ITVA) for its Mercedes SLR product film.
“We exceeded numerous milestones in 2008,” explained executive vice president and head of production, John Wyland. “This year, we will continue to pursue our path of growth in the automotive and high variability retail product industries.”
Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Mackevision is a creative partner for advertising agencies and automotive, consumer goods, architectural and pharmaceutical companies. The company specializes in rendering, data consultation and post-production, and also serves as a systems provider.
In addition to the traditional fields of motion graphics and post-production, Mackevision offers the combination of 3D elements with real images in its F_BOX technology, an easy-to-use interface that allows OEMs and agencies to archive images and data to create product films and photographs. The F_BOX fits within an agency’s existing workflow, giving art directors greater flexibility, reducing production time and providing consistent quality.
In the final months of 2008, Mackevision established a relationship with an automotive OEM and a consumer product company, and is currently working to secure a second automotive client for use of the F_BOX upon its release in March 2009.
Founded in 1994 in Germany, Mackevision is an international, premium service provider and global leader in the area of 3D animation, visual effects and post-production for agencies, film productions and industrial clients, providing front-end customization to clients and offering a wide range of services – from concept design and consulting through data handling, production and 3D implementation.
