Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Advisers Honored by Barron's

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Advisers Melissa Spickler, left, and Marie A. Vanerian were recognized on the 2015 Barron’s list of “America’s Top 100 Women Financial Advisers.”

Spickle, of Bloomfield Hills, is a senior vice president with the firm and leads the Spickler Wealth Management Group. This is the fourth year in a row she has been included on this list. She earned a bachelor’s in criminal law from Michigan State University.

Vanerian, of Grosse Pointe, is also a senior vice president of the firm and leads The Vanerian Group. She was granted the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation by completing a program offered through Wharton Business School. This is the seventh year in a row Vanerian has been included on this list. Vanerian earned her degree in economics at Michigan State University.
 
In compiling the list, Barron’s takes into consideration client assets; return on assets; client satisfaction and retention; compliance records and community involvement, among other criteria. The advisers must have a minimum of seven years financial services experience and have been employed at their current firm for at least one year.
