FARMINGTON HILLS — John Kulhavi from Merrill Lynch in Farmington Hills was recently recognized on the Financial Times “Top 400 Financial Advisors” list. The list is an industry honor of his accomplishments in the banking and financial services industry.
Kulhavi is managing director of investments and is a member of Merrill Lynch’s “$5 Million Club” and he ranks in the top 1 percent of the firm’s financial advisers. He served on Merrill Lynch’s Advisory council to management and represented financial advisers in five states. The council worked with management on new product development, client services, computer applications and all matters pertaining to enhancing client services and performance.
Kulhavi of White Lake Township has been president of the White Lake Township Civil Service Board for more than 30 years. The board is responsible for testing, eligibility lists, and promotions for the township’s police and fire departments. He also served as chairman of the board of trustees and is on the development board of his alma mater, Central Michigan University. He is a director of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund, and is a member of the Vietnam Veteran’s of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Association, and the America Legion.
Kulhavi graduated from Central Michigan University with Bachelor of Science in applied arts and sciences and in education. He also completed ROTC and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
